My Great-Great Grandmother Hester Zerlida Redding was said to be born near St. Catherine, Missouri. Her half brother Tom Redding lived in Brookfield. I am looking for any information on their parents. I recently found them buried near Rothville. Names are Richard Redding and Nancy White. I know of several of Nancy's siblings. Theodosia, Susan, Martin and maybe Crenshaw. I know nothing of either's parents. Tom may have a had a brother Byrd or J.T. Hester had a full brother Willard who moved to Bible Grove area. After the death of Willard and Hester's mother Richard remarried. and Had two or three more children.

I am seeking information on Younger Hardin who was married to Margaret A. Curry. I believe they are buried in the Mt. Olive Cemetary. One of their sons, Thomas William Hardin, is my great grandfather. I have conflicting information on the parents of Younger Hardin. Any information you can provide would be appreciated.

My grandfather tells me that Thomas Hardin worked at the Lambreth No 2 Cole Mine East of Marceline. Can anyone point in the right direction for more information regarding this mine? Thank you.

Glenn married Louise CHANDLEE in Linn Co. Nov. 6, 1917. She is also buried in Marceline. Looking for her parents. Grant married Gertrude ? I really need information on her. She was an Indian and they were probably married while he lived in Wyoming around 1900. She is also buried in Marceline. Any information would be appreciated. Researching the Gilbert EDWARDS and Silas MAHURIN familes of Linn county, Mo. in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Gilbert and his wife Rachel came from Grayson county, Ky. about 1860. They are buried at Locust Creek Cemetery. Silas and his wife Delaney also came from Grayson county, Ky. He died 1885 and is also buried at Locust Creek. Where is Delany buried? (died 1869-1878) Would also like information about children of both familes.

I need birth, marriage and death dates for my grandfather, Glen E. ROUTT, who is buried in Marceline, Linn Co., MO. He married Louise CHANDLEE. He died abt. 1961. His father was Grant Ulysus S. ROUTT, b. 1863 in Marceline, and his mother was Gertrude ? . She was an Indian. His wife, mother and father and a brother Vernon are also buried in Marceline. He also had two other brothers, Silby and Homer. I don't know where they are buried. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I am looking for the obituaries of or information on Charles Elbert THORNSBERRY and Oria Elbert THORNSBERRY. I believe Oria and his wife Belle SHEPARD lived and were buried in Linn County and that Charles and his wife Margaret Mitchell spent part of their lives in Linn County. Oria was born in Camden County in Dec 1885 and died in Linn County in 1977. HIs Father Charles married Margaret in December 1976. Looking for family of gg grandparents John and Historian (Runnels) GIER--parents of seven children, all born Linn County, 1844-1859: Henry GIER, Ellen LAMBERT, Fanny JENKINS, Nannie LONG, Elizabeth STANTON, Sarah LAMBERT, and Maggie HIGGINBOTHAM. Historian GIER died 1862, and is likely buried somewhere in Linn County. John moved west in 1881 with daughter Maggie and the HIGGINBOTHAM family. J. Henry GIER married someone named Eliza. His sister "Nellie" married Abner LAMBERT in 1866. Sarah married J.S. LAMBERT in 1868. Fanny married James Jenkins. Don't have given names for husbands of Nancy and Elizabeth--- LOMG and STANTON, respectively. Want to know the final resting place of gg grandma Gier, and share information on the families of her children.

I am searching for information on Carl Johan RUNDQVIST and his family. He was born February 6, 1843 in Alekulla, Vimmerby, Sweden and emigrated in 1868 from Ovrakulla, Rumskulla, Sweden to Bucklin, Linn County, MO. He was married to Lina, born in Bergen, Norway. He was a farmer in Bucklin in 1928. They had at least 5 children. All children were married before 1928. The oldest son Robert was in 1928 working at the railroad in Burlington Iowa, the sons Emil and Frank were farmers in Bucklin, the daughter Hulda was living in Kansas City and the daughter Josie was living in Quincy.

I am also searching information on Carl Johan Rundqvist brother´s son Carl Axel Edvin CARLSSON (KARLSSON). He was born June 26, 1887 in Ovrakulla, Rumskulla, Sweden and emigrated 1904 to Bucklin, MO. He was married before 1928 and had a farm in Bucklin. They had a son Edwin and a daughter Ester. My information about these families comes from old family letters and genealogical research in Sweden. I am interested to know what happened to these families and could in return support with information from my genealogical research of ancestors in Sweden. All information appreciated. My great grandfather, Jacob Lineberry, lived in Linn County approximately 1890 - 1901. According to his letters he lived with his uncle Wesley Lineberry. Does anyone have access to the book "Portrait and biographical record of Clay, Ray, Chariton and Linn Counties, Missouri..." published in 1893? If so, are there any entries for Lineberry´s?

Also, I´ve been trying to determine where my great grandparents married. I feel confident they married near where they were living at the time but haven't been able to confirm that. Does anyone have access to a Linn County marriage index that covers 1900 & 1901?

My great grandfather, William Watson ADAMS, was born 7 Sep 1842 in Linn Co., MO. I am searching for anyone in this line. I have hit a brick wall. I have his Civil War papers that states he was born in Linn Co., MO but can not find any census where he is listed as a child. One relative said he thought the family all died of cholera when William was seven and he was taken in by a neighbor. If this sounds familiar, I would love to hear from you.
